Ibrahim has a desire to see disabled persons in Kenya increase their independence through physical activity. Through his experiences as a physically challenged person, he has learned the importance of physical sports as a method of building fitness, character and confidence. Ibrahim knows the power that sports can have to disprove negative viewpoints of the physically challenged.

In 2003, he began training physically challenged people in various activities including soccer, cycling, table tennis, running and fitness exercises.   Ibrahim does this on his own time without any outside funding but has hopes to build a funded athletic training center for the physically challenged. He travels around his country to speak with the physically challenged, encouraging them to lead an active life. For over ten years he has been speaking to groups in person and in radio and television interviews to change public perceptions of the physically challenged.

By racing his bike and competing abroad, Ibrahim has sent a message to his countryman about what is possible through sport. As word about his trip to the U.S. spread thoughout his neighborhood, youngsters have already been seen riding their bikes everywhere with a new passion and hopes to follow in his path! Ibrahim understands what he represents to Kenyans and is working to continue modeling a disciplined, healthy and active lifestyle for his Nation's youth. Ibrahim wants to replicate his effect on a global scale by cycling abroad and training to compete in the 2008 Paralympics!
